Trajan Basesku

Traian Băsescu was the President of Romania, served since 2004 till 2012.

He was narrowly reelected president for a second five year period in 2009, amidst allegations of electoral fraud that were ultimately dismissed by the national courts of Romania.

On 6 July 2012 he was suspended from the office and the referendum on Băsescus dismissal was held on 29 July, but declared invalid by the national court.
